"I look like an oompa loompa" (I have no idea why this quote today??) Two of our friends were baptized yesterday!!! Gigi and Devon. We had to do them at different times though so Gigis family could come. She speaks English and Spanish, but her family speaks more Spanish than English and our friend who baptized her speaks Spanish as well so he did it in Spanish. Then I had the opportunity to baptize Devon later. Devons family mostly speaks Swahili and so do I! Miracle! So both our baptisms were done in a different language! Just kidding, I only speak English so Devons was normal. We are preparing for this next week, we have 2 more friends preparing for baptism. One of them I met my second day here in the Bronx and ever since then he has been awesome! Since I got into the mission field our baptisms have increased alot because of President Holmes. It has been really cool to see. When I came we were baptizing around 50 friends as a mission each month. Last month as a mission we b...

In honor of the worldwide 5th Sunday focus on sharing the gospel, I am going to keep this weekly solely focused on the gospel! No updates at all   This has nothing to do with the fact that I dont really have many updates and I didn't take any pictures  I want to start by sharing a few thoughts on how sharing the gospel is like a barrel of monkeys    Yesterday (I say yesterday because I only send this email to my mom who forwards it out to all of you, I'm lazy don't judge me, so I have no clue when you will get this but today is Monday) anyways yesterday my comp had to share a message during our church service and while he was writing that talk, Sunday Morning  , I was looking at the barrel of monkeys on my desk. Naturally I started playing with them. As I did I was taken up to an exceedingly high mountain   jk but I got to thinking and came up with a couple principles.  Principle 1- The monkeys can't do anything to help their fellow monkey br...

That pretty much sums up my whole week, now let me explain The work has been going great. Two of our friends got baptized yesterday  Nick and Mikayla/Rhonda. Nick is a big baller we met at a parking lot a couple of weeks ago when he was leaving work. He started coming to church and loved it. He just turned 19! His parents came to his baptism and enjoyed it but aren't really interested in learning more. Our other friend who was baptized is Mikayla. Her birth name is Rhonda, but she is legally trying to change it to Mikayla because she has been using that for a pen name for a long time. She is super sweet and was way excited to be bapweek's. She made sure she got a picture of her baptism board with one of her Pokémon. She loves Pokémon Go.  Also our friends Bill and Noel who were baptized recently are doing well and Bill told us yesterday that he's been reading the Pearl of Great Price so ya he's fire   also I don't think I added any pics last week so I will add...
