Dearly beloved we are gathered here today to read Elder Paces first email from the field!!!!
Sorry I didn't get to email last week because one of my pdays was wasted traveling
so this email will cover the last two weeks. Last week was my final week in the MTC so here are the highlights. The elders in my district were in two separate rooms 4 in each but we wanted to have a district sleepover one night so we took two of the mattresses from their room and threw those plus ours on the ground then used the sheets to make a dope nasty fort and we all slept there one night. The only other thing I can remember from last week was getting roasted in front of the whole MTC 
. We had a devotional where the MTC president and his wife spoke but there were times when they would ask a question and you could raise your hand and someone would come around with a microphone and everyone would look at you as you answered the question. I decided to give it a go one time and I thought I gave a pretty solid answer, but when I sat down the MTC presidents wife says, "Well, some of the things you said were true"

Dang she's cold blooded. OK now for this week. I'm in Manhattan!!!!!! My apartment is a short walk from central park and it's sooo beautiful. The second day I was here we went up on the roof of a nearby building and took some pics. It's rained 90% of the days I've been here which is like whateva. The food here is really good and I had my first New York pizza, I'm told it was the real deal too none of this tourist (junk). It was really good but Domino's is still 50x better!. We had a ward Halloween party on Saturday which was awesome-- love the little kids and some of the adults costumes.
This email is getting long and I could continue forever, so I'll close it out with this. I have a lot of time to think about Jesus Christ. This week a song came into my head and I had the thought, if Jesus Christ could sing one song to you it would be this.." I'd climb every mountain, swim every ocean, just to be with you and fix what is broken. Cause I need you to see that you are the reason." It's so much more powerful when you hear the song so do that. "You are the Reason" by Calum Scott, listen to the ending as he sings these words and imagine it's the Savior singing this to you. I promise that if you do that, you will feel God's love for you! Well, Gotta blast!

P.S. His trainer's name is Elder Richards who just got out of training himself so they are a young companionship.
