Pace 1:3
Yo,
Alot happened this week so I'm gonna try and hit the highlights from each day so I don't forget anything. Before I start this week I forgot to mention that while I was on the plane to New York the main actor in the RM (a movie about a missionary) was on my plane, ironic, so I got a Pic with him.
Ok so now we're at Monday. For my first pday in the field me and some other elders went and balled up at the church π. Tuesday I don't remember. Wednesday I have no idea. Dang this ain't working,I don't remember when I did what. So here's the rest of the weeks highlights.
I saw Time Square (we aren't aloud to go in but I could see it) BIG disappointment π the ball looks so big in that one episode of Jesse but I looked up and there was a poster of Clifford the Big Red dog that was 50x bigger π€ I forgot to take a picture of that so I'll add that in one of my emails when I do.
Also the New York City marathon was this Sunday plus it was the 50th anniversary so it was this huge deal and it finished in Central park right by the church so we got to go and cheer some people on.
Also we went to dinner at one of the members house this week and they have the cutest family and the little four year old daughter drew a picture of me and my companion. It was pretty impressive. Plus it was my neice's birthday this week. Bemmy just turned 3!!π₯³ I'm told she had a piggy partyπ· wish I could've been there.
I had my first zone conference which is where all the missionaries in our area get together and we hear from our mission president and his wife and a few other people but it's like an all day thing so they fed us and since it's November they gave us like a nice Thanksgiving feast ππ€€.
Also I just went to see the Statue of Liberty which was fire π₯π₯π½. Hot dang! I think that's about all for this week so I guess there wasn't as much to say as I thought but I'll end the letter off with a thought I heard In church on Sunday.
A woman who was speaking said that sometimes as she walks around her block she likes to listen in on some of the conversations going on around her, which I think is hilarious, and as she was listening she heard a mother ask her daughter this question. Have you ever seen a bird with an ulcer?π€¨ (huh) Naturally she was interested and a bit confused so she followed this mother and daughter and listened to the rest of the convo. The mother explained to the daughter that you won't ever see a bird with an ulcer because birds don't worry. But even though they don't worry, God provides them with everything they need. So she explained to her daughter that we worry too much. People worry too much about things that don't matter and we need to trust in God and that he will provide for us. It reminded me of a scripture in Proverbs 3:5-6 that says "trust in the Lord with all thine heart and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge Him and He shall direct thy path"
Until next time my little angels ππ Elder Pace us lunch and since it's November they gave us
