Pace 6:5
Ladies and Gents this is the moment you've waited for! Get comfortable, grab a cup of got cocoa, and cozy up next to the fire as I reminisce on this last week!
You probably:
"oh boy, this one started out weird"
"oh boy, this one started out weird"Most of the week we spent in parking lots inviting people to church. This is about how every conversation went.
Me: You know I want you to come to church, it's not a secret I try to hide. I know you want me to send you the address so don't keep saying our hands are tied. You claim it's not in the cards, that fate is pulling you miles away and out of reach of the church.
Random person: You think it's easy? You think I don't want to run to your church, but there are mountains and there are doors that we can't walk through
Me as they walk away: you are the one I was meant to find
Then I start with the next person
(Rewrite the stars)
On Saturday I tried a different approach.
Me: Right here, right now I put the offer out to come to church. I don't want to chase you down I know you see me! You run with me and I can cut you free out of the treachery and walls you keep in through repentance and baptism
Person: okay my friend you want to bring me in to church, well I hate to tell you but it just won't happen. So thanks, but no I think I'm good to go, cause I quite enjoy the life you say I'm trapped in. Now I admire you and that whole church you do your on to something really it's something. But I'll have to leave that up to you
Me: But you would finally live a little finally laugh a little. Now that's a deal that seems worth taking. But I guess I'll leave that up to you
Person: okay I'll come to church and be baptized
That's not exactly how it went but some guy I met on Saturday in the parking lot came to church yesterday and stayed for Bill's baptism and now he is preparing to be baptized!
(Other Side)
Take my hand as I recount the events of Sunday. Will you share this with me? We had a baptism planned for yesterday, but by the time church started Bill hadn't responded to our text that morning. Im trying to hold my breath as I watch the chapel doors waiting for Bill to walk in. I Listen to my heart pounding, getting louder now can you hear it echoing? Towers of gold are still to little to express the joy I felt when I saw Bill arrive! The church service went by so fast. During the second hour we filled the font. No matter how far we turned the lever there was never enough never never never enough never never never enough hot water but in the end the font was filled to a decent temperature. Then it was go time! All the shine of a thousand spotlights were on Bill as he was baptized! All the stars we steal from the night sky will never be enough to match the light in his eyes after he recieved the Gift of the Holy Ghost!
(Never Enough)
Now I sit here and write this email as my comp lies in bed the brightest colors fill his head a million dreams swirl around his mind as he enjoys his pday nap. I'm waiting to see what the pday activity will be. I dont care, I dont care if they call me crazy I will do any activity to get out of the house, however big how ever small let me be part of it all
(Million Dreams)
I am so sorry this email was MEGA massive! But this is THE GREATEST SHOW!
