Miracles are abounding in the Bronx!

This week 5 more of our friends were baptized! I love them all but one of them meant a little more for me. About 3-4 weeks ago we were walking to the church and there was a group of people waiting for there bus to come. For some reason people are less likely to talk to you when they are in a big group. I just yelled out if any of them wanted to come to church with us on Sunday and one of them said she did then she got on her bus before we could talk any more about it. On Saturday Kristy was baptized with her 13 year old son Jose! Kristy has super bad anxiety and closes up around people. It has amazed me how much people will open up to you as you show them you are truly invested in them and care about what happens to them! I was able to Confirm Kristy as a member of Jesus Christ's church and through the power and authority of the priesthood give her the Gift of the Holy Ghost!

I gave a talk in sacrament this week as well. It turned out fine but this week was really busy and I didn't have as much time to prepare like I would like to. I talked on making scripture study a daily habit. Recently I've been hearing about some guy who is going around petitioning to eliminate the 2nd book of the new Testament from the Bible. He hasn't gained much support tho, everyone agrees he's missing the mark!
I thought of that joke in the shower because I'm hilarious, I was just born that way. And if your still confused right now you should have listened to my talk. Making our scripture study a daily habit truly is important. I've realized tho that it's easy for me to start good habits but hard to maintain them, but my bad habits are hard to break. I don't know if any of you feel that way but I know at least one person knows what I mean. Ed Sheeran wrote a whole song about it. Anyways I don't want to type out my whole talk cuz I'm bored of writing this email already. I will just add pictures now

(I somehow missed this email so it is out of order!) We had transfers again. I am now in the Bronx. It is the best area in NYC by far. So blessed! All the fire hydrants here are broken and spew out water 24/7. There is a great deli right next to our church building so I'm gonna be fat. There is also a new drink there that is my favorite. People here are super humble and prepared by God. Should have some baptisms coming up. There are a lot of street vendors here selling a bunch of cheap fake stuff so that could be cool. One of the missionaries has a pickle ball net so we will be playing that on Mondays. My apartment has a washer and dryer. There is also a lot of places in the city where you can get big slices of pizza for a dollar. My comp is from Surprise Arizona. We went to a members house the last day I was in Long Island and she made us a cake and had lots of balloons and she won't leave Ashlyn alone on Facebook Bye Bye

Couple of Photos

No letter today but he sent these two pictures. Eating with a member (can’t tell what the food was) and before he left the Bronx.  This is the mission leader of the Spanish ward but Justin really liked him.  He said he was awesome!   Justin has said he’s gaining weight and I can see some extra fluff around the middle in this picture.  He eats a lot of sandwiches.  He says they are cheap!  They don’t often eat at members which is what he prefers.  He says a lot of time is wasted eating with members.  He’s got work to do!!
