Pace 8:5

Elder Rasband shook my hand!!! Eeeeeek!!!

Before I get to that, more importantly, our friend Victor was baptized πŸ€— Victor is such a humble guy and willing to do whatever it takes to follow God. We met with him the day before his baptism to finish a few things up and during the lesson he opened up and told us that he thought we were going to try and find fault in him and tell him he couldn't be baptized 😭 It broke my heart, he acknowledged that those were thoughts of the devil and we reassured him that he would never get rid of us! Also one of the other companionships had the coolest family that was being baptized. Their son asked me to baptize him because when he came to church I was the first name he learned. That was a cool experience!

Ok now to Rasband! To begin with Ron and I are tight, like unto a dish. Like this 🀞 It all started when he was called as an apostle and I first heard his name. Then we got to know each other pretty well over the next few General Conferences. And now fast forward to yesterday! It was good seeing an old friend again 🀧 Elder Rasband came to our mission to meet with our mission which is way cool because he served in this mission back when it was part of the eastern states mission and then again as a mission president when it was the New York City south mission. These are some of his direct quotes. "This is MY mission" "You are serving in the greatest mission on the planet" what's even cooler about it is that out of all the wards in the mission, he chose to attend sacrament in my ward! That's where I was able to shake his hand. Usually our sacrament meeting is way loud and distracting but this Sunday was so quiet and everybody focused! The funny thing was when each talk finished one of the recent converts would start clapping and all of our friends would join in 🀣 and at the end of Elder Rasbands message the recent convert held his hand up pausing the bishop and told everyone to stand up and clap πŸ‘ It was a fun meeting. The messages were focused on how all are children of God and how he wants all of his children back home. Elder Rasband went a little more in depth on how this is Jesus Christ's restored church which was fire! He said 3 things he wanted us to remember was. We love you, we thank you, and we need you! Then we all went to the temple and he talked to the missionaries. His themes were Remember remember, and this is a mission of miracles. Sister rasband also had a great message with a touching story that I loved πŸ’— When they got to the building we took a picture with them as a mission that I dont have yet mom so it's not in the email. After that we all bumped fists with Elder and Sister Rasband and said our names and where we were from. When it was my turn I forgot to say anything. Elder Rasband looked at me, made a "come on" hand gesture and said "Do you have a name" 🀣  Oooh burn tsss 🀭

Now for the good stuff. Last Monday, a Chinese lady brought us a bunch of Chinese food. Some of it was gross, but some of it was Bussin! Also I pick up my son today. My comp and I are                co-parenting him
